Grounded in Christian faith, our mission is to serve underserved communities across local, national, and international levels, showing compassion, promoting equality, and spreading the love of God through action.

“We seek to be a blessing to those that are poor, meek, merciful and those that mourn or are oppressed. We will Love Thy Neighbor as ourselves.”

OUR STORY

Though the Trotter-Johnson Family Foundation was formally established in 2022, its true beginning was written generations ago, through the faith, prayers, and Christ-led lives of our ancestors.

Beginning in the late 1800s, our family’s story was shaped by believers who trusted God, served others, and lived out the Gospel in everyday life. From Bernard and Mary Trotter of Lawrenceville, Virginia, and their 12 children, to Min. London and Rosa Johnson of Magnolia, North Carolina and their 8 children whose quiet strength anchored their families, each generation modeled generosity, kindness, humility, and unwavering faith.

Bernard and Mary Trotter's son, Webster, and granddaughter, Dorothy Mae Trotter (Johnson) Schipp, became the vessels through whom these spiritual values were carried into the modern era. She passed down a heritage of prayer, service, and love to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

This Foundation exists because of the seeds they planted. Their devotion to God, their belief in helping those in need, and their commitment to community are the very foundation stones we stand on today.

Today, the Trotter-Johnson Family Foundation simply continues the work our ancestors began, a legacy of faith-driven service, compassion, and a calling to uplift others. Their beliefs built the foundation. We are simply carrying it forward with the same spirit and purpose.

OUR IMPACT

Since our founding, we’ve supported local youth and community programs, including the Boys & Girls Club, the Child Advocacy Center, and granted scholarships for students in need. To date, we’ve helped 20+ individuals and organizations. Lastly, we have financially supported small churches like Piney Grove Baptist Church to help with their programing.  WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED!
